Hello! My name is Serena, and I am so happy and honored to be serving the great women and families of Houston!
Like many women, I experienced the Baby Blues after the births of my first 2 children. I don’t think I realized at the time what was going on; I just assumed it was a “normal” way to feel. While I was pregnant with my third baby, I got into a conversation with a man about how women from other cultures either bury or eat their placentas. I honestly thought he was joking, but just out of curiosity I went home and got on the computer, and it opened up a whole new world to me! I read about the traditions of other cultures, but quickly realized that American women were also ingesting their placentas!
After reading about the causes of the Baby Blues, and the rationales behind placenta ingestion, it made perfect sense to me! I quickly enrolled to become a Specialist in training, received all of my equipment, and became certified just in time to be able to encapsulate my own placenta! So I can truly speak first-hand about the amazing emotional and physical benefits! My third post-partum experience was so much better! I felt balanced and normal pretty much right away! Of course there was some physical discomfort, but I just felt “myself” much more quickly than my previous experiences!
If you are currently expecting, and are interested in maybe encapsulating your placenta, I say to you first, Congratulations! And then, good for you! You have come to the right place! PBi is a reputable, trustworthy organization made up of women who truly have a genuine desire to help women have the kind of post-partum experience that was intended—Awesome!!
I, as well as all PBi-Trained Encapsulation Specialists, follow FDA and OSHA guidelines. I am also trained in safe food-handling as mandated by the state of Colorado. I will bring my own equipment, do all of the work, and completely clean up afterward! Nothing will be asked of you except to provide your placenta of course!
I am currently serving Houston. If you live in the Denver area, or Pueblo, please still contact me! You can email me, or feel free to call anytime! I would love to meet with you before-hand and answer any further questions you may have!
